Penny for the guy?

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.

Happy Guy Fawkes Day, y'all. Lauren's making a parkin, and tonight we will consume it and watch V for Vendetta. We'll have a fire too, if the weather permits. Looking forward to seeing Penny again, bless her little toes.

My window's a great place for wildlife, what with those trees right there. There were a couple of robins earlier, acting like re-re's. As robins do. And then some sort of woodpecker/sapsucker/flicker that I couldn't identify. ...I need some sort of kestrel-sized Lauren, that can sit on my fist, and I can fling her at small birds... "Identify!"

Mme. Suzette's being obnoxious, as per usual. With an extra side order of creepy. She's been sitting quietly, staring at me, for several minutes, and then she just leaned calmly forward and took a small bite of my forearm. I told her I didn't like that, and she stared at me some more, then leaned forward and started delicately licking the spot. ...If you never hear from me again, assume she ate me.

...OH GOD SHE'S LICKING MY ARM AGAIN. T_T

Yay for celebrating! I am deeply, deeply jealous of your parkin. It's one of my favourite treats, and apparently they just don't have it in Durham. (And also, I have no ingredients/baking gear so I can't make my own.) D:

... You got a cat?! When did you get a cat? Or have you always had a cat? At least, I assume Mme. Suzette's a cat, due to your use of the 'cats' tag ... (That is quite creepy. I hope she doesn't eat you!)

No parkin? Sad day! Lauren made one a couple of years ago, it was fabulous.

We've had Suzette since about the end of May. I guess maybe I don't mention her often? And yes, she is a cat. Long-haired tuxedo cat with green eyes. She's very loving, and lovable. ...WHEN SHE ISN'T TRYING TO EAT MY ARM OH GOD WHY WON'T SHE STOP. TT_TT

DDDDDDD: I'll get over it eventually.

She sounds lovely - tuxedo cats are one of my favourite kinds of cat. Maybe you taste really good? :S

I think she just wants attention. She's very needy. *affectionately aggravated glare*

Crazy people-eating cats.
Happy Guy Fawkes Day. It's been forever since I've watched that movie; if only I had a functional teleporter, I'd pop down for a visit and watch it with you. Oh well guess I'll just have to study more. I'm off to study more fundamental physics.

Obviously you need to contract herpes. Then you could teleport whenever you wanted! :D

Aow brain fail \.../ I think I will leave that particular component out of my teleporter metric.

I had to for get some oats for the parkin and wore my mask on the back of my head all the way to downtown Tualatin and back. If anybody got it, they gave no indication, but I was pleased with myself nonetheless. :D

It seems like Portlanders are hard to shock....

Very true.

Lol, I always suspected Suzette had a plan. I just didn't know it was so sneaky.

[identity profile] zolac-no-miko.livejournal.com 2009-11-06 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
...A plan for what? O.O

[identity profile] drownedcities.livejournal.com 2009-11-06 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
The thought of a wee Lauren is rather terrifying.

I miss my Suzette. D:

Tell you what. If she eats both of us, you can have her. -_-

[identity profile] drownedcities.livejournal.com 2009-11-07 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Aw. Then it'd be like a kitty party here. :D

Aw, I miss nature. I'm in the middle of cornfields and on one side a small foresty tree area, but there is nothing to attract wild life to my windows here. The best things I see of wild life is when its near the road (and sometimes part of it ;_;)

Hmm... I wonder if you should set up a static camera near the window that's hooked up so you can take pics as these birds perch. I'd be interested in pics :O I love identifying nature.

Madame Suzette loves you~

Put out a feeder for birds?

...Yeah, I know it was a love bite and love licks. It was still really creepy. You had to be there.

[identity profile] regonym.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
....O_O; That's actually a bit frightening! I'm glad she hasn't decided that I'm edible when I've been over there.

[identity profile] regonym.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
Also, the thought of Kestrel-Sized Lauren broke my brain a little. I mean, she had to have wings if you were going to be flinging her at birds, right, and then it just ended up being this mental image of Lauren's normal-sized head on an eeeetty bitty bird body, and then I had change the subject with myself.

[identity profile] zolac-no-miko.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahahahahaha, that's actually more frightening than the image that was in my head! XD;
