Actually, hahaha, I am English, darling. (Well, Roman Catholic Black Irish diaspora, but it's been ninety years, so I can say I'm both by now, yeah?) But I suspect the fact that you think I'm American is flattering, although I should point out that I have never in fact been to the US.
