Yeah, see, that was the thing, getting autographs didn't really occur to me until I got there, and then I had nothing to sign/doodle on. But then Geoff and Griffin had their own posters, and Dustin Nguyen had his own super-nice drawing paper, so I got lulled into a false sense of security.
Yeah, there definitely have to be people and programming you actually care about. There were a lot of cool actual big-name celebs at the convention, Star Trek people and Buffy people and the Boondock Saints... but I felt like the cost and effort to go see them outweighed the awesome factor. I was definitely more interested in the Red vs. Blue guys and my favorite comics artists. The only person this con was lacking was Marcus To. If Marcus To had been there, I probably would have spontaneously combusted. God damn but that man's art is gorgeous!
Hahahaha, I haven't read the comic yet, but apparently there are Gay Centaurs in it. My friend Richard interns for that comic book company, and the author of Nox is his boss, so he was wearing one of their famazing Support Gay Centaur Rights t-shirts as advertisement.
