Properly cooking is rare enough with me that it rates a post.

Mom was on O‘ahu for work today, wasn't going to be home until almost 8. So I cooked. I made chili with quinoa and a salad. The chili was motherfucking delicious if I do say so myself~.

Soooo full of chili, soooooo full.

Quinoaaaaaaaaa. I love it so and it so rarely comes out just right, but when it does...! Quinoa chili sounds like heaven.

Quinoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~. SO DELICIOUS.

You think? *headtilt* I've not found it any different from cooking any other grain, really, just stick it on a stove with some water and let it cook. Or am I missing the key that unlocks the secret bonus level of quinoa deliciousness?

'TWAS HEAVENLY INDEED~! I liked the idea of serving a New World dish with a New World grain, and I found the flavors to be quite complementary!

My quinoa tends to end up kind of mushy! I like it with a little bit of snap to it...though lately I've discovered it cooks up just right in a rice cooker, so I'm going to be eating a lot more of it soon, I think! Only a few stores here carry it, so I ought to go stock up...
