I finally finished Robin's profile, check it out! Like, he actually has a personality and backstory now, how awesome is that?

...I continue to be mortified to find myself reading Batman/Superman fic. I believe I mentioned enjoying Tim/Kon? Yeah, guess where that took me. ...I SWEAR I DON'T SHIP IT. Like, for me, Batman and Superman have this epic bromance. It's like this:

[Scene: Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent are very, very drunk]

Clark: I LOVE YOU MAN, YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND!! [hugs Bruce]

Bruce: OH MY GOD, I LOVE YOU TOO MAN, WHY ARE YOU HUGGING ME?! [shove shove, get off plz]

[End Scene]

...I don't see the sex, I really don't. But dammit if the fandom doesn't have some really freaking good writers. So I'm reading it anyway. ...Dammit.

Re: not shipping Superman/Batman but reading the slashfic anyway -- I've been there. Just, not with that fandom. I've been there with ... quite a lot of fandoms, actually. (Life on Mars, Star Trek XI and House, to name but a few ...)

There just isn't enough bromance fic to fill the void, so you move onto the slash AND/OR the writers are just so damn good and write so convincingly that you can't stop yourself. Don't feel bad about it. :P

Until you actually start shipping it because you've become indoctrinated; that's when you should start to worry.

PS: That scene you described? Made me laugh so hard. XD

The World's Finest slash fandom writers really are damn good. T_T Like, not all of them of course. But a lot of them. It's really quite unfair.
