I'm sorry, but all I can do is sit here snickering over this: "Christopher Nolan, I may be willing to have sex with you." You sound like you've been burdened by this for so long and you're finally resigning yourself to it. I'm just picturing him hanging around making you Batman movie after Batman movie because you tried to let him down easy at first but he never really got the hint and now all you can do is shrug and go "Okay yeah fine, you earned it. No one else is going to put all these people in a Batman film for me." Don't settle, Ange! (-;

The list of set pieces and people I will be arrested for licking grows longer still. They'd better start filming this summer. In front of my building again. Also part of the reason my bike is matte black may have had something to do with the ease with which I could lend it to Batman if need be.

...Unfortunately, now that I've calmed down a little, I seem to remember Nolan announcing that the Riddler was not going to be appearing in TDKR quite some time ago, well before the Tom Hardy/Anne Hathaway casting announcement. So. THIS MAKES ME SAD. ...But! When it comes right down to it, I could really care less who Joseph plays in this movie, so long as there is more JGL in my life, omg. Especially JGL in a Nolan movie in my life. With a side of Tom Hardy, and probably Cillian Murphy as well.

He had better be the Riddler because if I hear one more rumour about Johnny Depp playing him I AM GOING TO FUCKING PUNCH SOMEONE IN THE GODDAMN SHIT BALLS.

So, no, Johnny Depp will definitely not be playing the Riddler in TDKR, old rumor is very very old. But that means I have NO IDEA who the hell JGL is going to play. Basically, though, I DON'T CARE. Yeah, you know, it's weird... Depp used to be my favorite actor, like, I adored him for many many years of my life. And even at the time that I first heard that rumor, I liked the idea. But. Just, like, in the last year or so, I've gotten... tired of him. Mostly tired of the Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham-Carter, and Tim Burton show (I used to love Tim Burton so much too!). It's just been... over-done. And he's, like, EVERYWHERE. I liked him in Public Enemies, and Rango looks like it might be cool, and I'll probably see the Pirates film even though I'm dubious about it, and I still love all my old Johnny Depp films, but. Yeah. I don't really need huge piles of Johnny Depp in my life anymore.

Yeah, I used to like him and Tim Burton a lot until it became the Tim Burton Circus. It was good the first few times, but then it just gets tiresome and droll. He plays the same character, the stories are similar, and it's just like, you guys. Stop it. Try something new. I think maybe if Burton didn't churn out the same movies with the same actors, I'd still give Depp cred because he is quite excellent in many other things. :/

...I am excited for the new Pirates movie, I will admit. But mostly for Barbossa. HE IS THE BADDEST PIRATE TO EVER PIRATE IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE. ♥

Yeah, I dunno that he plays the same character (in fact, Depp's character work is one of the things I really appreciate about him)... it's that he always plays the same kind of character. Like, "Why, hello there, I am quirky and strange, ISN'T IT GREAT? :D" And then Tim Burton always does the same kinds of stories. They both have great skill, but the act is tired.

Personally, I don't really care which role JGL gets, because Nolan's fairly laid back about allowing the actors to make a role their own, and whatever it is, JGL is going to make it ALL KINDS OF AWESOME.

And also? JGL and TH get to be in a film together again. OH, IT'S CHRISTMAS. <333 I'd be hoping for on-set pics, but this is a Nolan film and those will be decidedly thin on the ground. STILL, I'M NOT WITHOUT HOPE. MOAR SHADOWBOXING PLS, BOYS.

look_alive are gigantic Joseph Gordon-Levitt fans and always have been. Like, she's had a huge crush on him since we were tiny people and he was in 3rd Rock From the Sun, and has pretty much thought he was the sexiest thing to ever sex since then. I thought he was freaking ADORABLE in 10 Things I Hate About You (and, like, in general), but unlike her I was slightly more distracted by Heath Ledger's hotness. Like most people, I did not realize he had the capacity to be HOT LIKE THE SUN until Inception, whereas she was like SEE? SEE? I TOLD YOU SO! SEE?

Before Inception came out, the biggest rumor for TDKR was that the Riddler would be the villain, played by Johnny Depp, or possibly David Tennant (either of whom would've been FABULOUS, although I've found I'm actually starting to become tired of Depp, how is this possible? He used to be my favorite.) After Inception came out, Nolan made some comments about how much he'd enjoyed working with Joseph, and she and I put that together with the established fact that Nolan loves to recycle his actors and came up with OMG JGL IS TOTALLY GONNA BE IN TDKR and OMG HOW FABULOUS WOULD IT BE IF HE PLAYED RIDDLER, HE'D BE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, THAT'S HOW FABULOUS!!

When it was announced that Tom Hardy had been cast as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, I figured that as all she wrote for JGL... although I could hardly complain, because. Tom Hardy. Yes please. And then Nolan throws THIS curveball at me!

I'm remembering now that Nolan said quite some time ago that the Riddler would not be in the film, so... sad, and I really have no freaking idea who he could be playing. But while I would love it if Nolan made a liar of himself, I... don't really care all that much, so long as I have some JGL in my Nolan Batman movie. With Tom Hardy.
