My opinion: that was the best episode of Doctor Who that has ever been written in forty-eight years.

If I remember correctly, it's in the anti-time universe thing that happens after Zagreus. It was more of a set-piece than a plot point, though it does make me wonder if Gaiman was consciously pulling from that plot line, or if it just happened to mirror it.

In my head, House was kicked out of the TARDIS and through some twist of the rift ended up in Virginia, where it slowly built itself into a proto-TARDIS, but House was kind of banged up, so all it really remembered were the corridors. And being evil.
