No no no, see, a pretty significant fraction of my Flist lives in one of the ten foreign countries where the movie premiered well in advance of the U.S. (HOW IS THAT FAIR, THEY'RE OUR FREAKING SUPERHEROES GODDAMMIT). I have had to dodge spoil-tastic flailing on my Flist since, like, April 27th. IT'S BEEN TORTURE.
Yeah, Banner/Hulk stole the movie, for serious (although as usual, Tony Stark got most of the best lines, but... that's just part of his characterization, okay, it's accurate, TONY STARK HAS ALL THE BEST LINES, he was just born that way)... mad props to Joss and Mark Ruffalo for taking a character that really should be impossible to make interesting (I mean look at how much difficulty they've had with him in the past!) and making him the most interesting character in the movie. And yeah, my audience was flipping out over Hulk too, I would be in the middle of cheering my head off and also thinking, "Huh. WHO KNEW?"
KNIFE SCENE, OH GOD, OH SPIDEY I LOVE YOU, THIS IS WHY YOU'RE MY SECOND-FAVORITE SUPERHERO. T_T
Oh man oh man oh man oh man, this summer, UGH. See, I am totally okay with the world ending in December, because at least TDKR and Prometheus will have happened first. TT_TT
Ahahahahaha Coulson was the one thing I managed to spoil myself for. (Totally my fault.) I wish I didn't know going in, because it totally stole any impact the scene had for me (although it still managed to be a surprise, I was expecting it at the end of the movie). Of course, once it happened I was like, "Well, duh, of course, I mean we knew Joss was going to kill someone and now that I'm sitting here Coulson is the obvious choice." I mean it's not like he can kill off one of the Avengers. And they've spent YEARS building up to it, Jesus.
