AHHHHHHHHH. As a native to San Diego, I highly recommend going if you can. And while you're down there, take a detour into Balboa Park, Seaport Village, and Old Town, all of which are either a very short bus or rail ride away. The Gaslamp Quarter is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE CONVENTION CENTER OMG. I hear it is a good place to hang out, but I left Cali before turning 21 and it's mostly bars there, so. ;(
