So, while trolling the internet looking for fluffy Teen Titans fanfic- DON'T ASK- (and btw, FanFiction.Net is not the place to look, unless you want to vomit), I found this adorable Batfamily Christmas Minicomic. OHMYGOD SO CUTE. ...Also, how much do I love that there is a Livejournal comm called we_love_dick? A lot, that's how much.

I've always called fanfiction.net "The Place of Reeking Evil", lol. There ~are some good fics there, but you have to dig to find them, and endure. There's an lj comm for recs from there-I think it's on my flist, actually-can't remember what it's called. "notsobad" or something like that.

Haha yeah... I had my fic-writing start there um... wow, like ten years ago almost. It was also where a private joke with myself and my friends became my internet identity. So I have some fond memories of the place, and a number of excellent, old-timey fics bookmarked, but... yeah, that place is terrifying. It's so hard to find good stuff amongst all that godawful. ...But this was before I discovered all of the lovely LJ Batfamily fic communities that I'm in now (and in fact, it was my failure to find quality on FF.N that prompted me to do a search on LJ which brought me to said communities, so it all worked out). I just didn't know where else to look for fanfic!

Good Teen Titans animated fic is distressingly hard to find. I found a community for it, but... I wasn't impressed with the quality. Which is why I post my TT stuff to the more general batfic, we_love_dick, and robin_fans instead, but... there's less of an audience for it there. Batfandom in general seems to be more comics!verse oriented, which is fine and totally makes sense, but... there's so much wonderful in DC Animated! Some of those shows really deserve more love.

Haha, I just took a peek at your friends and communities, and holy crap, how do you keep on top of it all?! Your friends page must refresh faster than /b/!

Many of my comms aren't very active, so they don't update frequently. I like a lot of small fandoms, and they're slower than SPN or HP, for example. But high quality, usually! I've got many of them set to not show up on my flist, as well; I want access to the comm when I want it, but not necessarily to look at them all the time. Plus, many of the comms overlap each other-like my photography comms-so I see duplicates of things, and can skip them.


Same with my friends. Certain ones update regularly, and others don't because of RL. I can generally catch up every night, unless I'm reading fic, or posting a lot myself.


Feel free to rifle through my journal. I've got LOTS of fics and interesting links saved in my memories; and if anything is locked, ask me and I'll unlock it. I don't usually lock things, but sometimes I'll do it temporarily so my flist isn't overwhelmed by my posting stuff for my benefit, and then forget to unlock it later. I like sharing my bounty-I've been involved in fandom for a long time, and have much loot. :D
