<3 Taekwon-do, or I'm Going To Hurt So Much Tomorrow

Today I stepped into a dojang for the first time since May. I am in craptacular shape; the workout just about killed me. But I stepped out into the rain full of happy endorphins, remembering why I love this sport.

I missed the tired feeling in the arch of my foot when I press a gas pedal or climb a stair. I missed the whole-leg ache of overworked muscles. I missed the slightly raw feeling in my lungs. I missed taking a hot shower and eating my dinner and feeling like I deserved it. I especially missed the feeling of shins that are bruised in multiple places.

I feel like I've been beaten with a large, heavy stick, and it feels fantastic.






...Also, I have massive Iron Man cravings. I'mma wash the dishes, then sit in my bed with a Tony Starkcicle and WATCH IT. :DDDD Super Heroes popsicles ftw!

... I have had Iron Man craving so so long it's unreal. Like, since I watched the film. It's not out on DVD over here, yet, either. I'll probably ask for it for Christmas - but that's a whole month and a half away! D: (Also, we don't have Tony Stakcicles. I feel that this imbalance should be rectified immediately.)

Yeah, I've been doing sports since I was five, so I'm a pretty well established endorphin junkie. Any pain I feel is associated with that little high, so it's sorted into the happy part of my brain. And it makes me feel good about myself... if it hurts to move, I feel like I've accomplished something. ^_^;; Really, it's not like it hurts a lot... just sort of a dull ache all over. And I must have been on an endorphin kick because I was happy and hyper all night.

Yeah, I downloaded a torrent for it, we have good internets (or, our neighbor does >:D) so it only took an hour. I spent the hour joyfully dancing along to "Back in Black" and washing dishes. I recommend doing the same (dancing included), or substituting "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang".

Super Heroes Popsicles are the best thing ever. They come in Spiderman, Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man flavors/colors. :D

Heeee, I am jealous! I haven't done any Taekwondo or Judo for yeaaaars. I'm so horrifically out of shape now, but I still know how to throw a punch or execute a side kick. Muscle memory is a beautiful thing. I did martial arts when I was really small (my dad is a Judo sensei, so me and my brothers were doing martial arts from the walking stage onward), and then stopped when I was around ten. ;_; I miss it, and now I'm so out of shape that a class would KILL me. What level are you at?

And YAY for a Tony Stark marathon! I finally watched Iron Man a few months ago, and immediately went on a fic reading binge. The man is the definition of sexass, though I love RDJ in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - yay for canonical man kissing! XDDDD

Hrrrrrrr, I know, RDJ is made of deliciousness~! I hadn't seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang until after I'd seen Iron Man, but now I ADORE it. Harry Lockhart is precious. I've seen the movie several times since May. I saw Tropic Thunder for the single reason that I needed to satisfy my masochistic desire to see RDJ play a black man. Now I need to see Wonderboys, next time my roomie and I watch movies. ...Have you heard RDJ is playing Sherlock Holmes in an upcoming movie? They're filming in London right now.

...There's this person in the rpg I'm in who plays both Tony Stark AND Harry Lockhart, and does them BEAUTIFULLY. I have a crush on both of them, and I stalk their journals like woah, and I have to try really really hard not to throw my character at them. -_-;;
