I'm in Honolulu again. It's a beautiful, warm, sunny day; the sky is the bluest of blues short of TARDIS blue, broken only by a handful of tiny, fluffy white clouds. I'm in the shade of a kukui tree, sitting on a park bench next to a bridge, between a Chinese garden and a Polynesian style tropical botanical garden. I can hear the splashing of a fountain.

The fact that I can also hear airplane engines does not in any way diminish my enjoyment of this moment.

I know I promised a bigger update with pictures, but I've been too busy enjoying Hawaii and spending time with family (and reading Batman comics)... and right now all I've got is my phone, upon which writing an epic post would be a pain. And there wouldn't be pictures. Maybe tomorrow?

I just wanted to make a quick post to make you all jealous. >:D Don't be too jealous, though... in a matter of hours I'll be on a plane to slightly chilly California. Sad day. But I'll get to see platoapproved, so it's all good. ^_^

Hope y'all are having a lovely Tuesday (or Wednesday, if you're all Australian like that), even if it's not as lovely as mine. <3

That sounds absolutely gorgeous. It snowed in my city yesterday, which made me happygasm, and today it is all sunny and melty and the birds are out. So it is a good substitute. Maybe I should invest in property in Hawaii...

Heh, well, we rarely get enough snow to enjoy before it turns slushy and hazardous, and never before December... it was a treat. :3 I've only been to Hawaii once, when I was a kid, and that is not nearly enough! Have a great stay <3

*snorts* "slightly chilly," *snorts* you in your lovely warm tropical weather. it's supposed to get down to 8° F. here tonight, and for any friends of yours still in Walla Walla it's supposed to get down to 0° F. there tonight. So California; you don't have anything to complain about :p.

Well, that's why I said "slightly chilly". I was not quite so brazen as to call it "cold". But can you blame me for not wanting to discard my shorts and tank tops and slippahs? Don't worry, I'll be back in chilly Portland soon enough.

T_T Yeah, can't blame you at all for not wanting to give up your sexy summer clothes. the timing of your trip was pretty much perfect. Should be back up to a warm 45° F. by the time you're back.

hehe schadenfreude (good word), that's pretty much what it was like in Bellingham on Friday and Saturday nights. Quite the adventure trying to walk around in those conditions.

Okay now I need to stop letting myself get distracted and get back to writing the second confrontation between Drake and Steph.
