Kind of late to the party, I know, but for what it's worth....

In no particular order:

-JOSS WHEDON. :DD

-CLARK GREGG.

-JOSS WHEDON. DD:<

-Speaking of Joss Whedon, I love how even though he's got this big blockbuster movie full of megastars and he probably didn't have a lot of control over the casting, he still managed to find bit parts for Ashley Johnson and Enver Gjokaj. I can just see him, like, "GUYS, GUYS, CHECK IT OUT, I GOT HIRED TO DO THIS TOTALLY AWESOME BLOCKBUSTER COMIC BOOK MOVIE, HEY, HEY, WE'RE BROS, DO YOU WANNA BE IN MY AWESOME BLOCKBUSTER COMIC BOOK MOVIE? :DD" As is typical of my life, I was the only person in the theater flipping out when Enver Gjokaj showed up on the screen as like, Random Cop #2. NO ONE UNDERSTANDS ME. T_T /forever alone

-The rest of the audience was totally with me on, like, everything else. HULK VS. LOKI OH MY FUCKING GOD, THE SCREAMING LAUGHTER AND THE CHEERING AND CLAPPING AND HAVE I MENTIONED THE LAUGHTER, WHOLE THEATER IN HYSTERICS, I AM GOING TO HAVE TO REWATCH JUST FOR THAT SCENE BECAUSE WE WERE ALL LAUGHING SO HARD I MISSED THAT LAST LINE.

-LOKIIIIIIIII~!!

-CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE COMEDIC TIMING IN THIS MOVIE IN GENERAL, OMG.

-ALSO THE GRATUITOUS BATTLING. Creative team was like, how many different combinations of Avenger vs. Avenger, Avenger vs. Loki, and Avenger vs. Scary Alien can we fit into this movie? HOW ABOUT ALL OF THEM.

-I have to admit this movie was occasionally kind of predictable, but always only in the very best way, like, it's so awesome you're just happy you were right.

-NAT AND CLINT. ♥

-BRUCE AND TONY. ♥

-"I GOT THAT REFERENCE! :DD" OH STEVE YOU POOR THING YOU ARE SO ADORABLE OMG.

-SPEAKING OF ADORABLE, PHIL COULSON'S GIDDY FANBOYING.

-ALSO "HIS NAME WAS PHIL" AA;SGJKHFALKHSFLA;KSHGSFS.

-THOR AND LOKI JUST MAKE OUT ALREADY FOR FUCK'S SAKE, SERIOUSLY.

-Lol Bruce Banner, they just had to give him a purple shirt. XD

-SHAWARMAAAAAAAAAAA~!!! XDDDDDDDDDDD

...SO WHEN DO WE GET TO HAVE THE SEQUEL?!

Can I also mention, the previews: new trailers for The Dark Knight Rises, Prometheus, and Brave, all movies I am SUPER FUCKING EXCITED ABOUT, and also The Amazing Spider-Man, which I am... tentatively excited about? They're doing a really unusual and interesting interpretation of the canon with this one... but I have to say, the scene where the guy pulls a knife on Spidey, AA;SLHGKALSFAKJSKAHFJSFLS REASON ENOUGH TO SEE THE MOVIE, THAT RIGHT THERE IS THE SPIDEY I KNOW AND LOVE. ♥

I like how the day after it came out is considered late to the party. (-:

I wanted to be able to rewind the movie so, so badly after Hulk v. Loki. It was just... exactly what was needed. (I think Hulk had some of the best comic relief in the entire movie... and also got the most cheers, partly because he got Character Development (plus it was way better than the stand-alone... omg I had no idea it was that horrible.))

I'm with you on the Spidey trailer... I'm not sure about how they're approaching it, but the knife scene was so very Correct that I'm pretty sure it'll be okay. ^_^

Aaagh, summer of superhero movies!

Alsoalso... aaaah, Coulson! Why did I not see that coming, like, from a mile away!? I let myself get complacent. (Also, I like how the reason for it turned meta immediately. "I'm motivation, now go!" Thanks, Joss!)

No no no, see, a pretty significant fraction of my Flist lives in one of the ten foreign countries where the movie premiered well in advance of the U.S. (HOW IS THAT FAIR, THEY'RE OUR FREAKING SUPERHEROES GODDAMMIT). I have had to dodge spoil-tastic flailing on my Flist since, like, April 27th. IT'S BEEN TORTURE.

Yeah, Banner/Hulk stole the movie, for serious (although as usual, Tony Stark got most of the best lines, but... that's just part of his characterization, okay, it's accurate, TONY STARK HAS ALL THE BEST LINES, he was just born that way)... mad props to Joss and Mark Ruffalo for taking a character that really should be impossible to make interesting (I mean look at how much difficulty they've had with him in the past!) and making him the most interesting character in the movie. And yeah, my audience was flipping out over Hulk too, I would be in the middle of cheering my head off and also thinking, "Huh. WHO KNEW?"

KNIFE SCENE, OH GOD, OH SPIDEY I LOVE YOU, THIS IS WHY YOU'RE MY SECOND-FAVORITE SUPERHERO. T_T

Oh man oh man oh man oh man, this summer, UGH. See, I am totally okay with the world ending in December, because at least TDKR and Prometheus will have happened first. TT_TT

Ahahahahaha Coulson was the one thing I managed to spoil myself for. (Totally my fault.) I wish I didn't know going in, because it totally stole any impact the scene had for me (although it still managed to be a surprise, I was expecting it at the end of the movie). Of course, once it happened I was like, "Well, duh, of course, I mean we knew Joss was going to kill someone and now that I'm sitting here Coulson is the obvious choice." I mean it's not like he can kill off one of the Avengers. And they've spent YEARS building up to it, Jesus.

Ah right, I forgot about that particular evil plot (I got all confused about the release dates, when I remembered that the European premier had been back in April or whatever). I consider myself lucky that I didn't end up spoiled for it.

Tony Stark's actual super power is having all the best lines. The rest is just technology. (Poor Cap., having to put up with him. And omg, their interactions. I know only a little about their Epic Relationship in the comics but basically I just want the two of them to have to sort of grudgingly endure each other all the time now.)

Basically I need to see this movie again. I think this year is on track to be the year I see the most movies, ever. I've already seen three movies in the theatres (not counting the pre-Avengers marathon, which would add another five). Up to this point I think the most I saw was three or four, and that was back when I worked at a theatre and never had to pay.

I was actually pretty sure Joss would kill off one of the Avengers, because I expect him to be cruel and horrible like that, and I keep forgetting that it's not actually his franchise. Obviously my instincts are way off lately. (-;

UGH JOSS. SRSLY. I'VE MISSED HIM. SO MUCH. ALL THE THINGS I LOVE ABOUT HIM. SUCH MASTERY OF SUBJECT AND CHARACTER. MY FAVOURITE PART WAS EVERYTHING.

ALSO, STEVE. I AM COMPLETELY, IRREVOCABLY IN LOVE WITH STEVE. JESUS CHRIST JOSS I THINK WAS MOST EFFECTIVE WITH SHOWING STEVE'S CHARACTER WITHOUT SHOVING IT IN OUR FACES. *________*

ANYWAY I AM SO HAPPY YOU HAD A GOOD TIME!! <33333333

Okay, what are these hints? Convince me. Aside from IT'S A MARVEL MOVIE, EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE, and the fact that they've established that Nick Fury is a Lying Liar and You Can't Trust Him. (And then there's the comics, which is an interesting problem... obviously they couldn't leave Coulson out of them because then the fans would've been like WAIT WHERE'S COULSON, OH SNAP WHAT IF HE'S DEAD, but it does cause issues with continuity if he does actually kick the bucket.) ...I feel like, Joss being Joss, he would've wanted to actually kill him, and, honestly, I would want to let him. I love Coulson, but... well that's why, actually. It loses the intended impact if he's not really dead. (Idk, I've been with Joss Whedon so long now, I hath drunk the Kool-Aid, I've totally gotten on board with his psychopathic need to kill people. XD;)

Of course, Joss' wishes and opinions may not be paramount... this is the Marvel franchise, and Joss has no control over it. I have to say, if he is alive, I will cackle gleefully because OH MY GOD FURY YOU EVIL MANIPULATIVE FUCK. ♥

I have to say... this movie definitely had its flaws (picking one out of a hat, GOSH IT SURE WAS EASY FOR THOR TO GET BACK TO MIDGARD AFTER ALL, LET'S HANDWAVE THE ISSUE IN A SINGLE THROWAWAY LINE, and this is my sad face, by the way, I wanted Jane to be the one to bring him back, that would've been so much more satisfying, instead she got swept into a corner, she and Thor didn't even get to see each other, lame), BUT... imagine, if you will, the impossible task of writing this insane freaking movie, where you have to bring together all of these massive superheroes for the very first time and give them all equal treatment AND have a plot in there somewhere... this movie should have SUCKED DONKEY BALLS and it DIDN'T, and that, I think, is where Joss' talent really shows. HE DID THE IMPOSSIBLE, fucking give him a standing ovation, jesus. ...But yes, as always, he wrote flawless characterization and dialogue and physical humor, everything was sad and funny and human and that's what he's good at, and that's what held the movie together, it just wouldn't have worked at all otherwise, it really would've been horrible.

...Although I did just go cruise Rotten Tomatoes to see what the critics think, it looks like they're pretty much in line with my thoughts on things, but Christopher Orr says something about Joss' 'unexpected knack for action choreography' which, just. What. HAVE YOU SEEN SERENITY? OR DOLLHOUSE? OR ANYTHING JOSS HAS DONE BEFORE, HONESTLY, UNEXPECTED MY ASS.

Steve was adooooooorable, I spent the whole movie wanting to give him a hug and ruffle his hair and stuff. Oh, honey, STEVE.

Ummmmm I'm mostly just REFUSING TO CONTEMPLATE him being dead. ;_______; But. Well.

Clark Gregg has repeatedly mentioned that he's in upcoming films. Also he said that Joss once told him (when Gregg asked him, because, well, JOSS) if he was in danger of being killed off, Joss laughed and said, no, I have plans for you, you're safe. SO THERE. :DD (That's really my one argument for this outcome.) Also: Marvel have brought out a comic called Battle Scars w/ Coulson front and centre of it, and The Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon is timelined post-Avengers. Couple all this with FURY IS A LYING MANIPULATIVE BASTARD WHO LIES, AND, WELL. THERE YOU HAVE IT.

ALSO, THOUGH, apparently Kevin Fiege and Marvel are working on a Special Project concerning Agent Coulson. Add to that the fact that Clark Gregg is the best fucking PR Marvel are ever likely to get, and that's the only conclusion I can reach. ALSO I LOVE COULSON SO FUCKING MUCH AND I REFUSE TO BELIEVE HE'S DEAD. R E F U S E. FOR MY SANITY. DDDD': My money is on another short pointing and laughing at those who fell for Coulson's supposed death. :D

Yes, the movie def had its flaws. (I wanted Jane and Darcy back so bad, too! :( Still, Thor 2 starts shooting soon...) But Joss, man. As if I didn't worship the fucker before. Wow. He's the one man I might just kneel for if he came a-knocking. :D

STEEEEEEEBE OH, ANGE, I HAVE ALLLLL THE STEEEEEEEBE FEELS IN. THE. WORLD. :')))))))))))))) SO ANGRY AND SO GOOD AND SO STUBBORN AND SO FUCKING HUMAN AND JUST. STEEEEEBE LET ME MAKE YOU HAPPY WITH FIC. <333333

(This is spoiler laden so please dont read if you havent seen yet)

I saw it last night and have been avoiding spoilers like crazy for weeeeks!
I was lucky enough i completely went in knowing nothing about what was gonna happen and it blew me and my very movie critical mates away.

We all came out LOVING Mark Ruffalos Hulk and now i wanna see everything he has ever done. and just wonderful how he nailed it.I adored him and Tony geeking out moment.
Everyone had there cool moment ,their fight moment and yet the whole teamto be seemed introduced very naturally through the story.
Joss 'josses' me every fucking time! I always forget (how ?i dunno)how he kills characters off so im heart-ripped-out everytime.

but my faves *cuts and paste entire movie right here*
Joss you bastard ,i love you.
-for Tony ringing Pepper but her phone being on vibrate.
-Phil ,oh Phil :(
-Nick you lying liary liar
-Loki 'i dont understand ,it normally works' Tony 'performance issues?...' SNORT
-Hulk v Loki or rather how to quite -literally- mop the floor with someone, just ,,,,GOSH IM STILL LAUGHING

-i loved Loki/Hiddles every time he said 'sentiment' and his smile,am in lurve <3<3
-Natasha you tricksy lady you and yes,yes i need a black widow or hawkeye movie as i know nothing of these guys origins and am desperate for more Renner in black :D

Enver Gjokaj! i spotted him too ,i was the only one who noticed him in my little group and was just Oh Joss
*psssst hes also in the first part? crossover for Hawaii five oh as the driver Marku (the hospital scene with Chin and Danny) :D

Yes, oh god, when Pepper didn't pick up her phone my heart broke into a million pieces, OH TONY. T_T ...Oh oh oh, someone should write the scene where Pepper notices that she's missed his call!

Yeeeeesss, I saw Enver in the crossover! HE WAS SO FABULOUS~! Enver appreciation high-five! So glad I'm not the only one. Dollhouse has made me such a fangirl. His acting really blew me away; his character work is flawless! He deserves bigger and better roles. ...But yeah, I laughed to see him and Ashley in Avengers; Joss is always reusing his actors!

Because the internet is a marvelous, magical place, somebody has already made a gifset of the Hulk vs Loki bit. XDDD

As for my opinion on the Coulson thing, I shall let this fanart speak for me. Because the alternative is unthinkable. :< (also, suprise of surprises, apparently Joss wasn't behind that whole plot idea, for once. The mega-producer of the marvel movies, this guy named Feige, saw how they killed off Spock's mom in the Star Trek movies and went 'OH GOOD IDEA. WE SHOULD KILL SOMEONE TOO. :D' kalsd;fjaklaugh)

So many good moments~~~ I want to see it again this week. :3

OH HEY THAT'S GREAT, NOW I KNOW WHAT HULK SAID! :DD

I want to see it again tooooooo, but I don't know when I'll have time for movies again. T_T it's going to be a few weeks at least. Twelve day expedition into the deep woods makes it difficult to get to a theater. D:
