Oh.
My.
God.
This week's Doctor Who.
I think it might be the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Neil Gaiman.
Neil Gaiman I love you.
Always.
I will love you forever.
Thank you.
I.
I.
I just.
There's no topping that.
My opinion: that was the best episode of Doctor Who that has ever been written in forty-eight years.

Date: 2011-05-18 03:01 am (UTC)Dude, you so know that this episode was sitting around on his harddrive for the last three or four years, at least, if not the last twenty-plus. I feel kind of weird being okay about the Doctor being all "Woman!TARDIS! Sexy!" after pitching a fit last week over River ruining all the Doctor's asexuality, but... TARDIS love. TARDIS love is always okay (except non-consensual TARDIS love, but Doctor/TARDIS is all about mutual kidnapping and thievery, so it's all good.)

Date: 2011-05-18 03:52 am (UTC)Yeahno, DOCTOR/TARDIS, OTP has always been the case. It's totally ok because it's a completely different kind of relationship. He thinks she's sexy, but it's not like they can or actually would have sex. He thought she was sexy well before she ever got shoved into a humanoid body. Their love is PURE and has nothing to do with her borrowed woman-flesh (although, most appropriate meat-suit ever, y/y?).
The TARDIS has always been my favorite character. I cannot even tell you how happy I am, although I'm pretty sure I don't have to because I think you understand.

Date: 2011-05-19 02:58 am (UTC)TARDIS!Sexy is all about the adventure and adrenaline and not the actual sexytimes. Plus the Doctor has a well-documented fascination with women in a nonsexual way. This is my justification. (-; (Totally the most appropriate meat-suit.)
I've been consumed by the need to write Idris-and-Doctor adventures. There'd be no real plot to them, but the dialog would be awesome.
